Instrumentation

Battery (orange indication)

The battery lamp lights up if the voltage is too high

(>15 V) or the alternator is not charging, this can be

due to a fault in the electrical system, or because the

alternator drive belt is slack.

Stop the engine

Check the alternator drive belt.

WARNING! Do not continue operation if there

is any problem with the alternator drive belts.

This could cause serious engine damage.

Check that there is no poor contact/broken wires.

Coolant temperature (red indication)

The coolant temperature lamp lights up when the

coolant temperature is too high.

Stop the engine if this lamp lights up during opera-

tion.

WARNING! Continued operation when the coo-

lant temperature is too high can cause serious

engine damage.

Check the coolant level. Please refer to “Mainte-

nance: Freshwater system”.

WARNING! Do not open the coolant ﬁller cap

when the engine is warmcould cause serious

engine and personal damage. Steam or hot ﬂuid

could spray out.

Check that the sea water ﬁlter, if installed, is not

blocked. Please refer to “Maintenance: Sea water

system”

Check the impeller in the sea water pump. Please

refer to “Maintenance: Sea water system”.

Coolant level

This indicator is not activated for the engine.

Oil level

This indicator is not activated for the engine.
